“ I have nothing but great things to say about El Rodeo. I was in town for work from Richmond, and the inviting, festive exterior caught my attention. Who doesn't like Mexican food when out for the day? Crazy people, that's who. The interior was bright, well-kempt, tastefully decorated, and has lots of spacious tables and little alcoves to sit in. They can easily seat large parties or small, intimate pairs. And, I have to say, the bar was very well stocked, especially with some excellent tequilas. I got the Pineapple Fajitas, and they were truly a revelation of flavor. Fresh grilled pineapple, red onion, mushrooms, shrimp, red peppers, and your choice of chicken or steak, and then they top with cheese sauce. I went with chicken at the server's recommendation, and he was spot on. The flavors of everything blended together into an incredibly savory, tasty, sumptuous feast. The iced tea was also perfectly brewed; very good flavor without being bitter. Next time we're in town, we will definitely be coming back. ”

“ Really good Mexican restaurant worth visiting. I was there and had a very tasty chicken enchiladas topped with shredded cheese and specific Mexican sauce called a mole sauce. It was very good and definitely will visit this nice spot again. The service was also very good, friendly and very helpful. And a waitress kept calling myself and my colleague all the time the "amigos". I eas today again at the El Rodeo after several months and again it was a very nice visit. Had a lunch with some friends and all of us were very satisfied and like the food we ordered. I had a Shrimp Quesadilla wirh rice and salad and it was very good. Very nice atmosphere, great Mexican cuisine and very friendly waitresses. And yeah, Arroza de la Mexicana is just fabulous!!! ”
“ Great food, tons of options, and variety. Nice staff, busy on weekends. Worth the stop. Only a hop off the interstate if passing through. Outdoor seating available, at night they have fire pits. ”
“ OMG, we were so happy to find this restaurant! One of the 2 best Mexican restaurants I have ever eaten at/from (I'm in my 60s and have lived in Manhattan, Philadelphia and Chicago as well as having traveled to Mexico, and to major cities throughout the us.l. so not a foodie, but with some places for comparison) After 13 hours of driving through freezing rain and fog, nearing our hotel after 10pm, we were just hoping for some warm food, not expecting anything like this! It was spectacular, so fresh, so good, so plentiful. Pretty much every place we googled was closed well before 10pm... and happily this was just 5 minutes from our hotel. We called from the road about 15 minutes away and ordered, for pick up , Guacamole (of course), two Burrito Jalisco, and two skinny Margarita's (so good!). From now on, any time we are en route from New England to the Southwest, we will aim for this restaurant. I give them 5 stars for service, even though we did pick up, because they didn't have to stay open for us so late, but it appeared they did. Also 5 stars for the decor... walking in, I was impressed by how much artwork and architectural detail had gone in to give the place charm, clearly a labor of love and pride. That much quality in art & ambiance is a good sign that the same attention will go into the food. It was so good. Wish we lived closer!! ”
“ This was my first time at El Rodeo in the new building and location. Wow it is so nice and bright inside. Beautiful decorated and the dishes were so nice. The food was excellent enjoyed our meal very much. Our Waiter Oscar was outstanding and friendly and was so great to us. Can't wait to visit again soon. ”

“ This place was so cute, friendly, huge margaritas and oh good food too! Giovanni was great in serving 7 people. Gave us everything we needed and the portions of food were huge with reasonable prices. Didn't take pics of the food but the interior design was so cute I took lots of pics of that! ”
